Franklin R. Flynn
1933-2001

Franklin R. Flynn, 68, of Jacksonville, died Saturday morning, July 14, 2001, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.

He was born April 15, 1933, in Alexander, the son of William J. and Ruth Ann Childers Flynn.

He is survived by one son, Matthew of Jacksonville; one grandson; two sisters, Wanda R. Ross of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Viola M. (husband, Ronald) Greenwood of Jacksonville; and one brother, Russell. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Henry, Clarence, Raymond, William, Herschel and Harold.

Mr. Flynn worked in the Maintenance Department at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville for 31 years, retiring in 1993.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cody & Son Memorial Home in Jacksonville, with burial at Jacksonville East Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Monday, with the family meeting friends from 6-7 p.m. Monday.
