James Decker, aged 81 years, a lifetime resident of Morgan County, passed away at 12:30 o'clock this morning at his home, 824 East Independence Avenue.

Mr. Decker was born near Jacksonville, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Decker. When a young man he was united in marriage with Margaret Liles, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are the following children: Martin Decker, Alton; Charles Decker, Jacksonville; Mrs. Dolly Collins, Morgan County; Lyman Decker, Jacksonville; Mrs. Mabel Hayes, Jacksonville; and Bert Decker, also of this city. Two daughters and one son preceded him in death. There are two brothers, John Decker, Manchester, and Mitchell Decker of Prentice.

Mr. Decker was a member of the Christian church.

The remains were removed to the Gillham Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday Afternoon with interment in Jacksonville cemetery.
