DARNELL, JOHN ALLEN


John Allen Darnell

John Allen Darnell, father of Mrs. Charles Honey of 863 Case avenue, passed away at Oak Lawn sanitarium.

Mr. Darnell was a native of Russell Springs, Kentucky, and resided in that state until about two years ago. For eighteen months he was employed in the New Berlin community.

He was born October 1, 1861, and in 1897 was united in marriage at Russell Springs, Kentucky, with Yowell Leach, who preceded him in death.

He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Charles Honey, and three sisters, Mrs. Belle Rexroat, Arlington, Texas, Mrs. W. T. Johnson, Kenneale, Texas, and Mrs. Martha Hill, Paul's Valley, Okla.

The remains were removed to the Arthur G. Cody Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon. Rev. L. M. Westrate of First Baptist church will officiate, and interment will be made in Jacksonville cemetery.
