Hazel Isaacs, 87, dies on Thursday
Hazel B. Isaacs, 87, 607½ N. Fayette, formerly of Alexander, died at 9:37 a.m. Thursday, April 6, at Passavant Hospital.
She was born Dec. 5, 1901, in Winchester, daughter of Frank and Nicholena J. McAllister Summers. She married Henry H. Isaacs. He preceded her in death in 1945.
She is survived by a son, John F. Isaacs of Jacksonville; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Helen) Mayberry, also of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Robert (Cynthia) Beck of Alexander; a stepson, Sam Isaacs of Alameda, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ethel Lintermoot of Lake Station, Ind., Elsie Robinson of Camden and Acie N. Smith of Oneida, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alvera J. Frank; a son, Henry Hardin Isaacs Jr.; a stepson, Walter H. Isaacs; two grandchildren; and five brothers.
Mrs. Isaacs was a member of the Alexander United Methodist Church.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cody and Son Memorial Home. Burial will be in Berea Cemetery near Prentice. Friends may call after noon Friday at the funeral home where the family will meet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Alexander United Methodist Church.
