Clarence Duncan, Retired Farmer, Dies Wednesday

Clarence G. Duncan, 709 West Douglas avenue, died Wednesday at 12:10 a.m. at Passavant hospital, following a lingering illness. Mr. Duncan was a retired farmer.

Born in Rock Creek, Ill., on Aug. 29, 1900, he was the son of Sidney and Nora Duncan. His marriage to Grace Williams took place on Aug. 13, 1931.

Surviving are his wife; two children, Eldena and Wendell Wayne Duncan, both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Charles King and Miss Addie Duncan of Springfield; a brother, Orville Duncan of Ashland, three nephews and one niece.

The body is at the Gillham Funeral Home, where services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Frank Janssen officiating. Burial will be in the Berea Cemetery.

The family will meet friends at the funeral home Thursday from 3 to 5:30 and from 7 to 9 p.m.
