YOAKUM, THOMAS - Of R.R., Athens, died at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, April 25, 1954, in St. John's hospital, age 57. Survived by wife, Edna May; four daughters, Mrs. Bernice Ward, Lorraine; Mrs. Winifred Porter, Mrs. Dorothy Denton, and Miss Annabell Yoakum, all of Athens; a son, Jasper; two brothers, Allen and Alfred; a sister, Mrs. Marion Ferguson, all of Athens, and two grandchildren. Remains to Mott & Son funeral home, Athens, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday, and where services will be held at w p.m. (C.D.T.), Tuesday, Rev. J. W. Armstrong officiating. Burial in West cemetery, Athens.
