MRS. LAURA CASEY DIES AFTER LINGERING ILLNESS NEARING 80

The death of Mrs. Laura F. Casey occurred at her home in this city, Tuesday morning, February 20, 1934, after an illness of some time at the age of 79 years, 1 month, and 9 days.

Laura F. England, daughter of William and Martha England, was born at Athens, Illinois, January 11, 1855. She received her education in the common schools near Athens. She united with the Christian Church at Athens in early life and ever remained a faithful and devoted member.

She was married to Jeremiah Casey December 19, 1872. To this union four children were born, two of whom survive.

Surviving are two sons, Addison J. of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and Milam A. of Athens; one brother, William England, also of Athens; several nieces and nephews; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Christian Church this Thursday afternoon, February 22, at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. Harry Joachim officiating.

Interment was made in the West Cemetery.
