RAIKES, BEULAH WOODRUM

Beulah Raikes of Greenview died Friday, April 3 at 2:53 p.m. at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg. She was 94 years of age.

Mrs. Raikes was born June 9, 1892 in Maryville, Missouri, the daughter of Berry and LuBelle Lowe Woodrum. She married Leslie Raikes on January 10, 1918 and he died on December 24, 1981. A homemaker, she was a member of the First Christian Church in Petersburg, Royal Neighbors, and Menard County Home Extension.

Surviving are one foster son, Kenneth Rhoades of Greenview; five foster grandchildren; seven foster great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Monday, April 6 at 11:0 a.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg with Rev. Gordon Blauvelt officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Sunny Acres Nursing Home or the American Cancer Society.
