ATTERBERRY, JULIA WOLDRIDGE

Newspaper & date unknown Mrs. Atterberry Dead

Mrs. Julia Woldridge Atterberry, a resident of this community throughout most of her long and active life, died at her home here at 6 a.m. on Friday, September 5, at the age of almost ninety years. Death followed an illness of more than a year, and she had returned home from a hospital only a few days before she died.

Mrs. Atterberry was born on a farm west of Petersburg on February 4, 1863, a daughter of Richard and Amanda Dick Woldridge. She spent the early years of her life on the farm, and then came with her parents to Petersburg where she spent the rest of her life. She was an active member of the First Christian church for many years, and was a charter member of the Iscah class.

Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Edward H. Golden, of Petersburg, the last remaining member of the family.

The remains were taken to the Thompson-Harms & Hurley Funeral Home and services were held at the First Christian church at 2:30 Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Joe A. Driskill, and burial was in Rose Hill.
