WHITE, RACHEL E. ROACH

Mrs. Rachel E. White wife of the late Robert F. White died at her home near Lebanon, Monday, Feb., 19, 1894, aged 69 years 11 months and 19 days. Mrs. White was the daughter of Needham and Francis Roach and was born near Nashville, Tenn., Feb. 28, 1824. She came to Illinois when 8 years old, and they located in Jacksonville, Ill. Oct. 31, 1844 she was united in marriage to Robert F. White, who died about three months ago. Seven children were born to them, three of whom with two grandchildren survive her to mourn their loss. The deceased professed religion early at an early age in life and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian church, a earnest and consecrated christian life. In her late sickness she expressed her readiness to die, and asked her children to meet her in heaven. The funeral occurred at 11 o'clock a.m. Wednesday morning, Rev. R.D. Miller of Petersburg, Ill., officiating. Interment at Lebanon cemetery.
