The body of Mrs. Nancy Jane Lewis was interned in Greenwood cemetery Tuesday afternoon. She died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Charles Jenkins in Girard, Saturday at 11:15 p.m. Death following a short illness. She and her family were residents of Tallula many years until she went to Springfield to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Louise Prichard and family. She was 91 years old.
Surviving are two sons, Lemuel D. Lewis of Ashland and Francis of Richland, Mo., three daughters, Mrs. Louise Prichard of Springfield, Mrs. Della Raikes, Petersburg and Mrs. Anna Spalding, Tallula. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, May 1 at 1:30 at Shane funeral home, Girard. Rev. Len Faull, Ashland, conducting. Graveside services were conducted at Greenwood Cemetery.
