These stones were found by accident by the current owner of this property which once belonged to the Black family. The property is in the Rock Creek precinct and is located off of Route 97 on the right side of the Rock Creek road. The property owner, who knew of our ongoing cemetery project in Menard County, contacted Betty Albert and asked her if she would like to take pictures of the stones so they would be recorded and available to anyone who might be researching this family. No other stones were found.

We had no record of this burial ground until this gentleman contacted Betty about the stones. If anyone has additional information about his family or can identify which family these children were members of, we would be very interested to hear from you.
