PETERSBURG - Erma Jean Victor, 70, of Petersburg, died Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Menard Convalescent Center.

She was born April 16, 1932, in Buffalo, the daughter of George D. and Nellie L. Shockley Ross. She married Joseph L. Victor in 1965 in Springfield.

Mrs. Victor graduated from Feitshans High School in 1950. She was a former owner of Salad Bowl Restaurant and a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, both in Petersburg.

Survivors: husband, Joseph L.; two sons, Richard (wife, Vicki) Jarvis of Petersburg and Joseph (wife, Luann) Victor of Tuscola; two granddaughters; five sisters, Donna J. (husband, William D.) Axtell of Rogersville, Mo., Joanne M. Crain of Springfield, Mo., Patricia C. (husband, Anthony) Speis, Pearl and Louise Ross, both of Springfield; three brothers, Charles D. (wife, Mary Lou) Ross of Tonasket, Wash., Roy W. (wife, Mary Jo) Ross of Wilmington and Ronald D. (wife, Cupie) Ross of Phenix City, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Hurley Funeral Home, Petersburg, the Rev. Thomas Holinga officiating. Burial Calvary Cemetery, Petersburg.
