PETERSBURG - Helen L. Stewart, 92, of Petersburg died Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at Sunny Acres Home.

She was born June 23, 1909 in Cass County, the daughter of Anthony and Louise Schafer Duncheon. She married Arthur M. "Buck" Stewart in 1930 in Petersburg; he preceded her in death in 1988.

Mrs. Stewart was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Petersburg.

Survivors: four daughters, Dotty (husband, Dale) Campbell of Petersburg, Joyce Stewart (husband, David Nelson) of Olney, Catherine Umphlett of Murfreesboro, N.C., and Rose Mary Miller of Annapolis, Md.; three sons, John (wife, Jean) and Leo (wife, Shirley) Stewart, both of Petersburg and Arthur (wife, Betty) Stewart of Ashland; 13 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Friday, St. Peter Catholic Church, Petersburg, the Rev. Thomas Holinga officiating. Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Petersburg.
