J.B. GORDEN, farmer; P.O.Lloyd; son of William B. and Mary (Gunterman) Gorden, who were among the first settlers of Menard Co.; was born where he now lives, Dec. 29, 1839; he has resided on the old homestead, and followed agricultural pursuits thus far through life. He married Miss Julia A. Kirsch, of Springfield, Oct. 25, 1875. She was born Feb. 13, 1853. He now owns 120 acres.
