CHARLES WHITLOCK, a native of Virginia, but some years a resident of the state of Kentucky, came to this county in the fall of 1829, and settled on section, in this township, where the family resided but about a year, when they moved to section 14, where he entered 120 acres of land, now belonging to David Jackson, where they lived until the death of Charles which occurred Sept. 24, 1846. His wife died in 1864.
