WILLIAM MCADAMS came to this township about the year 1824, and made a settlement. He was a native of Tennessee, born in 1797. He was married in 1814, to Beckie Cashin, and they were the parents of 12 children, six of whom are living. He died here April 9, 1849, and his wife survived until the 25th of Dec., 1880. Joseph McAdams, their son, was born in this county in 1826, and is still living in this township.
