SELDON BEEBE, a native of the "Keystone State," and his wife, Fidelia (Bushnell) Beebe, came to Illinois in 1818, and made a settlement on Apple Creek Prairie, in this township, in 1820. In a short time he removed to Bluffdale, and located under the bluffs, where he resided until 1853, when he died. His wife, who was a native of Connecticut, survived him until 1870, when she too, was called to the other shore.
