The Society maintains a genealogical library
in the Edwardsville Public Library which contains over 2,500 volumes of
genealogical and historical material, including family histories, an indexed
obituary file, printed census records, marriage records through 1882, cemetery
records including inventories and computer printouts, and quarterlies from
genealogical societies within Illinois and several other states.
A Microfilm reader/printer is available for use in the genealogical room, along with microfilmed census records and Edwardsville newspapers from the early 1800s to the present. A microfiche reader with microfiche of Illinois marriages, early Illinois land records, 1860 St. Louis Census, and other indices are available. Edwardsville Public Library
