Filed 27 August 1845. They were married May 1843. Joseph moved to Jasper Co., IN Nov. 1844. Elizabeth was the widow of Ruban KING & had lived in the state for more than 6 years. A note in the proceedings says that Jasper Co. is 3 to 15 miles from Elizabeth's place. Elizabeth signed her name. The witnesses were: Fanny ROMAIN, Sarah & Samuel MURRY, John M. & Sena FLOWERS, Suffrond(?) KING, & Robert STEISMAN(?).

Filed 18 September 1847. They were married 10 May 1846 Iroquois Co., IL. Her maiden name was ANDERSON. Tobias counter sued. He had been a resident of IL for 12 years. The witnesses were: William RAKESTRAW, Jonathan GRIFFIN, George VANK[RK, Calvin ROWLEY, Jeremiah KENOVER, Benjamin ANDERSON, Jacob OTIS, Isaac E. & William GRAY.

Filed October 1847. They were married April 1843 on evidence of Garrit EOFF. The witnesses were Elijah, Aaron & Moses DARBY, Fred, David & Elizabeth HARWOOD, & Stephen JONES.

Filed 1 April 1848. They were married 25 December 1842 Iroquois Co. by Samuel DILLEY J. P. Her maiden name was SHOBAR. The witnesses to the marriage were: Tobias WOODS, Samuel MURRAY & Samuel D. VONGLOVE. A family is referred to but no names mentioned. Robert counter sued. The witnesses were: R. S. WEST, Walter HESS, William SCRAMBLIN, Peras BARD WELL, Tobias James CRAWFORD, Remy CALAIS and wife, Louis CHOBAR, David BEASLY, James DEVIT & Nathaniel WILSON.

Filed 17 October 1849. They were married 9 April 1841 Iroquois Co. Her maiden name was HOSKINS. In October 1849 John was in Vigo Co., IN. The witnesses were: William THOMAS, Sr., Clement & Asa THOMAS, Michael HARNESS & Nathaniel WILSON.

Filed 29 July 1851. They were married July 1845 Ross Co.,OH. They had no children. He left in 1848, where abouts unknown.

Filed 30 September 1851 & 5 July 1853. They were married 20 August 1847. John was from Ross Co., OH. She was the daughter of Joseph CARPENTER. They had 3 children: Joseph age 5 years, George age 7 years & an infant. The witnesses were: Joseph, George & Friend(?) CARPENTER, Richard COURTRIGHT, Joseph THOMAS, George & Samuel WEST, Milton SCOFLELD, Daniel PARKER, Joseph BIRT/BURT, A.B. ROFF & George P. WOLFE.

Filed 29 March 1853. They were married 29 April 1850 Iroquois Co., IL. He left March 1851. Polly had one child by a previous marriage. A. V. was previously married also. The witnesses were: A. B. ROFF & S. A. WASHINGTON.

Filed 31 October 1853. They were married 16 February 1850 Iroquois Co. Her maiden name was HOLLES.

Filed 7 May 1853. They were married 16 October 1838 Lawrence Co., OH. Her maiden name was REED. Sarah had 3 or 4 children. In September 1848 they moved to Iroquois Co. Other person mentioned was Samuel PENN.

Filed 24 February 1854. They were married 128 April 1846 Clinton Co., TN. Robert was not in the county at the time of the divorce. The witnesses were: J. C. PIERCE, J. N. AXTELL, Royal & Berk SCOVILLE and William BAKER.

Filed 24 February 1854. They were married 14th day? 1850 Iroquois Co. Her maiden name was AKINS(?). John had lived in IL 20 years. the witnesses were: Jacob A. WHITEMAN, Isaac COURTRIGHT, John HARWOOD, John TEST, William YOUNG and Nathaniel WILSON.
