W hat's your favorite story?

If you have a website with Gallatin County folklore (more story than history), let me know and I'll link to it. Send the name of the website (or particular page) and its address to the webmaster. Or, if you would like to post it on this site, let me know. E-mail me first with the details and we'll go from there.

Lamb Manuscript — This large collection of stories was written by Elbert Ewing 'Eb' Lamb (1866-1950), and mostly deal with growing up in early Ridgway. He titled it, "People I Have Smiled With".

Old Hawthorne Tree at Hickory Hill — William T. Lawler, Sr., recalls the stories associated with an old hawtorne tree that stood south of the Hickory Hill school in Equality, Twp.

Old Slave House — Long part of the county's folklore, research over the last few years show that the folklore mostly got it right.
