T here have been a number of churches in Gallatin County.

Diocese of Belleville (Catholic Church) — A number of parish records have been microfilmed by the Catholic Church, including records from Gallatin County parishes. The earliest date to 1842, though prior records should be found in the records of St. Vincent's across the river in Morganfield, Kentucky. The link goes to the finding aids created by the St. Clair County Genealogy Society for searching through the microfilmed records which are available for public inspection at two libraries in St. Louis, Missouri, and Belleville, Illinois.

Muddy River Baptist Association — This site has the minutes from this early Baptist association. The minutes range from 1820 to 1840.

Pisgah Cumberland Presbyterian Church — We think this church stood in the southeastern part of the county near the area of Gibsonia. Some of its earliest church records have been transcribed and are online.

Presbyterian Church of Shawneetown - Picture — This is from a turn of the 20th Century postcard.

Other Churches — This is a list of churches generated when searching for churches in Gallatin County at the United States Geological Survey's website.
