"Charlie" Cairo was born in Marano Principato in 1882 and
came to America (Chicago, IL) after his first wife, Marietta left him
with sons Joseph and Edward. Marietta went to New York. With his
second wife, Rose, they raised seven additional children.
Pasquale Cairo made statues for Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Chicago, IL.
He would apply newspaper pulp that had soaked for days to wire framework
and then paint them. |
