FUNERAL OF JOHN A. CHURCH.


Services Held at the Residence in

Catlin.

The funeral services of John A. Church were held yesterday afternoon at the residence in Catlin and was one of the largest attended funerals ever held in that vicinity. The services were conducted by Rev. Phillips, of the Catlin Methodist church. Interment was in Oak Ridge cemetery near Catlin.

John A. Church was 73 years old and was born in Grenbury county, Va., and had lived in Catlin since he was three years old. He was one of the prominent men of Catlin township and had held several offices. He was prominent in politics and all public enterprises of the village. He was assessor and collector of Catlin town-

ship for twenty-five years. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. G. W. [F.] Church of this city and Mrs. N. M. Payne, of Catlin. His wife died twelve years ago. He leaves three brothers, William, Joseph and Charles, and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Church.
