Located on the west side of the road is a small pioneer cemetery,
all that remains of the site that once contained a UNITED BRETHERN CHURCH,
in Section 23 of Greenwood Township of Christian County in Illinois.
Services were discontinued and the church was razed in 1910.
In 1988 a group of interested people raised money to presearve and maintain this cemetery.
They placed a large monument on the grounds
and listed the names of those buried there.
Many of the tombstones were hard to read and some were illegible.
