Inez Winter, 87, of Palestine, IL, died Friday, April 13, 2007 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN, following injuries sustained in an auto accident near the Hutsonville Bridge in Sullivan County, IN. She was born January 7, 1920 in Kuttawa, KY, the daughter of Vernon G. Hobson and Minnie Moreland Hobson.
She was Dr. Marjorie Ikemire's secretary for many years and was a member of the Palestine First Presbyterian Church.
She married Donald R. Winter on July 9, 1943 and he preceded her in death on April 7, 2007 following the same auto accident in Sullivan County IN. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by a cousin.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 18th at 10:30 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Rev. Tom Akers is in charge of services. Burial is in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Palestine Public Library District, 114 S. Main St., Palestine, IL 62451 or envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
