Bernice R. Vance, 83, Decherd, Tennessee formerly of Oblong, IL died Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at the Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester, Tennessee. Bernice was born in on December 22, 1918 to John W. and Leola (Henry) Carroll. Bernice was married to Donald W. Vance, who preceded her in death. Bernice was employed as a House Cleaner, Nurses Aid and was a retired homemaker. She was a member of the Broadview Home Demostration Club, Winchester, Tennessee.
Bernice is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Carolyn and George A. Sells, Sr.; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law: Ralph and Louise Carroll; one sister: Marie Thompson.
Bernice is preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother: Earnest Carroll
Burial will be in the Prairie Cemetery.
