Ethel Fern Stantz 92 died Sunday January 7, 2001 at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong following a long period of poor health. She was born January 31, 1908 in Crawford County, IL, the daughter of John & Mae (Simpson) Richey.
On December 25, 1930 she married Elliott G. Stantz. He died June 17, 1999. Fern was a homemaker and a member of Central United Methodist Church in Oblong.
She is survived by 1 Daughter & Son-In-Law Phyllis & John LeFever; 1 Grandson Tony & Therese LeFever; 1 Granddaughter Julie & Jeff Hoke; and 6 Great Grandchildren
Fern was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one infant son Richard Dawn Stantz.
Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery.
