Mary E. Spinner, 91 of rural Palestine, IL, died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, January 28, 2007 at her home. She was born September 14, 1915 in rural Palestine, the daughter of William J. Turner and Cleo Miller Turner.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant View Church, rural Palestine.

She married Dane Spinner on December 26, 1933 and he preceded her in death on January 30, 1997. She was also preceded by her parents; her brother John W. Turner; and 3 sisters, Lois Davids, Odrus Elder, and Esther Bogard.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Judy Spinner, rural Palestine; her grand daughter and her husband, Cristina and Gary Van Winkle, Lawrenceville; her grandson and his wife, Bradley and Jada Spinner, Palestine; 4 great grandchildren, Courtney and Clinton Van Winkle, Lawrenceville, Kaycee and Jessica Spinner, Palestine; her brother, James M. Turner, Palestine; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 31st at the Palestine Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Rev. Tom Akers is in charge of graveside services. Burial is in the Palestine Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. Envelopes will be available through the funeral home.
