Harley G. Roberts, 82 Newton, Illinois formerly of died Thursday August 19, 2004 at the Newton Rest Haven, Newton, Illinois. Harley was born in on June 20, 1922 and was the son of Amos & Belle (Curry) Roberts. Harley married Betha Roberts, then Lucinda (Chaney) who preceded him in death on June 7, 1993. He worked as a laborer at grain elevators in Casey and Palestine, Illinois. He was affiliated with the White Oak Church, rural Oblong, Illinois.
Surviving Harley are five sons and daughters-in-law, David & Gladys Roberts, Robert & Sue Roberts, Danny & Ceselie Roberts, Randy & Dannette Roberts and Rodney Roberts; three daughters and son-in-law, Carolyn & Lenard Neibarger, Connie Unger and Betty Griffith; 27 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Harley in death were his parents, second wife and one daughter, Peggy Kirton.
Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, Rural Jasper County, Illinois.
