Louise M. Preston, 90, of Oblong, IL, died at 4:05 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2004 at Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, IL. She was born February 7, 1914 in Flat Rock, IL, the daughter of John F. Kent and Stella Postlewaite Kent.
She was a homemaker.
She married Randall B. Preston on September 2, 1929 and he preceded her in death on June 4, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Jasper Kent and Samuel Kent; and 2 sisters, Estel Parker and Dorothy Dunlap.
She is survived by her 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Thelma Preston, Lawrenceville, David and Kathy Preston, Peoria, Carl and Sharon Preston, rural Oblong; her daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Carl Salee, rural Oblong; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; her brother, Harold Kent, Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are Tuesday, August 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock. Burial is in Jones Cemetery, rural Flat Rock. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday.
