Melvia Pierson, 85 of Lawrenceville, IL died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2005 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville. She was born April 29, 1919 in Montgomery Twp., Crawford County, IL, the daughter of Roy Pierson and Nora Higgins Pierson.
She was a retired waitress.
Survivors include her 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Eileen Adams, Palestine, Pauline and Floyd Richards, Palestine, Norenia and Gerald Hope, Evansville, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Beasley.
Funeral services are Tuesday, March 29th at 1:00 p.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine. Burial is in the Pleasant View Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. to service time at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
