Arthur K. Nolan, 85, died Sunday March 21, 2004 at Ridgeview Care Center, . Arthur was born on May 10, 1918 and was the son of Virgil Nolan and Endamile "Babe" (Keith) Nolan. On October 7, 1976 he married Gladys Bailey, who preceded him in death on January 5, 1999. Arthur retired from Marathon Production, Southend District in 1975. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and a member of Oblong First Christian Church, the American Legion, Robinson Moose Lodge #1369, and graduated from Oblong High School in the Class of 1936.
Arthur is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Keith & Mary Jane Nolan; two daughters Rita Mikeworth and Beckey Stahl; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 1/2 sister Martha Huddleston; step son and step daughter-in-law Thomas & Annamaria Wall; step daughter and step son-in-law Margaret & Larry Horath; sister-in-law Irene Nolan and several nieces and nephews.
Arthur's parents; one brother - Norman Nolan; infant son - Michael Edward Nolan and infant grandson - Arthur Keith Nolan III all preceded him in death.
Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery.
