Flora B. Neeley 98, Oblong, Illinois died Friday November 28, 2003 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois. Flora was born in Jasper County, Illinois on March 20, 1905 and was the daughter of John Palmer Miller and Sally Anna Fisher. On June 23, 1923, Flora married Lester Vernon Neeley who died on October 9, 1988. Flora was a homemaker and a farm wife. She was a member of Prior Grove Baptist Church, rural Oblong. Her hobbies were gardening, needle work and quilting.
Flora is survived by seven daughters and sons-in-laws Lucille Carter, Irene Henderson, Junie Tracy, Reva Clark, Blanche & Robert Tracy, Jessie & Don Schoon and Ena & David Knutson; 44 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Rachel Neeley; two son-in-laws Marvin Schoon and James Wolfe; several nieces and nephews and a special care giver Roanna Wartsbaugh.
Flora's parents, husband, one son Ralph Neeley, two daughters Roanna Schoon and Elizabeth Wolfe, three brothers Thomas, Lee and Kenneth Miller, three sisters Jessie Shields, Elizabeth Dittman and Rachel Banning; and two grandsons Warren Henderson and Larry Clark precede her in death.
Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, IL.
