Everett Albin Nash, 73, of rural Palestine, IL, died at 9:40 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2005 at Crestview Nursing Home, Vincennes, IN. He was born July 12, 1931 in Palestine, IL, the son of Everett Nash and Christine Albin Nash.

He served in the U. S. Navy from 1951-1955. He was a mechanic for the ICRR railroad and he retired after 40 years of service. He was a 50 years member of the Palestine Masonic Lodge #849, a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and the Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549.

He married Phyllis Terrell on October 22, 1955 and she survives. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Cindy Nash, Palestine; his 2 daughters, Teri Brogdon, Palestine and Lori Smith, Robinson; 4 grandchildren, Melissa Nash, Blake Nash, Chandler Nash, Christine Nash Brewer; several brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law; and several cousins.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine, IL. with Rev. Jan Laws officiating. Masonic services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday preceding the service with the Palestine Masonic Lodge #849 in charge of services. Burial will be in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, rural Palestine. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the AmVets Post #33, Robinson American Legion Post #69, and the Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22nd from 9-11 a.m. preceding the service. Memorials may be made to the Lincolnland Hospice or to the Lamotte Township Library with envelopes available at the funeral home.
