David Lee Murray, 74 of rural Robinson, IL, died at 8:20 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2004 at the Danville Veteran's Hospital. He was born November 28, 1930 in Robinson, the son of Henry E. Murray and Hazel Lee Skidmore. He owned and operated a construction company in Robinson and had served in the U. S. Marines.

David married Hazel Wesley on July 17, 1964 and she survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Karen Coit, Bloomington, IL; his two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Laura Murray, Robinson, Todd and Brandy Murray, Robinson; grandchildren, Stephanie and Staci Coit, Katherine Murray, Jennifer Murray, and Christy Phillips Weger, Jonathan Murray, Duaine Correll, Suzanne Garrard, Elizabeth Murray, Mathew Murray, and Rebecca Murray; great grandchildren, Jordan Weger, Shaley Garrard, and Katie Correll; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Mildred Murray, Houston, TX, Junior and Lavern Murray, Robinson, Philip and Caroline Murray, Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Bonnie Wells Murray; his daughter, Katherine Correll; a grandson, Michael Paul Correll; 2 brothers, Byron and John Murray.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 1st. Visitation is from 12:00 noon to service time at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Janice Kincaid is in charge of services. The family requests that memorials be made to the Robinson V.F.W. Transportation Fund with envelopes at the funeral home.
