Martha K. "Kate" Murphy, 68, died Thursday January 6, 2005 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois. Kate was born on November 24, 1936 in and was the daughter of Allen & Nettie (Weck) Sanders. On April 19, 1957 Kate married Winfred "Wimp" Murphey and he preceded her in death on January 9, 1999. Kate was a homemaker and she loved to play bingo. Kate was affiliated with the Methodist Church.
Kate is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Johnnie & Christina Murphy; one daughter and son-in-law Stephanie & Danny Frichtl; four grandchildren Cody, Lacey, Ciera Murphy and Lauren Frichtl; one step grandson Zachary Frichtl; three brothers and sisters-in-law David & Jill Sanders, Paul Max & Darlene Sanders and Hobart "Junior" Sanders; two sisters and brother-in-law Dorothy Hursey and Jo & Don Carter; one sister-in-law Elzora Sanders and several nieces and nephews.
Kate is preceded by her parents, husband, four brothers Perry, Carl & Floyd Sanders and Ralph Musgrave; six sisters Louelle Sanders, Ethel Lynas, Marrie Ikemire, Louise Higginbothem, Margaret Shaffer and Ruth Bruner; and one infant child.
Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, IL.
