Edna M. Beckemeyer, 90, of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Robinson, IL, died Monday, February 7, 2005 in Cincinnati, OH. She was born June 21, 1914 in Carlyle, IL, the daughter of William H. Smith and Essie M. Eyman Smith. She graduated from Carlyle High School and Brown's Business College. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth Altar Society, CCW, Ladies of Charity, and University of Illinois Extension.
She married Paul A. Beckemeyer on April 30, 1941 and he preceded her in death on December 20, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and 1 sister, Daisy Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Beckemeyer, Denver, CO; her 4 sons and daughters-in-law and their families, Roger and Janet Beckemeyer, Columbus, IN and their sons, Bradley and his wife, Jill Beckemeyer and Benjamin Beckemeyer, Ron and Jan Beckemeyer, Cincinnati, OH and their daughter, Jennifer Pugh, Bob and Theresa Beckemeyer, Boulder, CO, and their sons, Andrew, Matthew, and Michael Beckemeyer, Dick and Gail Beckemeyer, LaPlace, LA, and their sons, Jesse and Cody Beckemeyer; 2 great grandchildren; and 1 sister, Irene Aycock, LaCenter, KY.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 Friday, February 11, 2005 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Rev. Bill Overman in charge. Visitation will be Thursday, February 10th. from 4:30-7:00 p.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will be at Frerker Funeral Home, Carlyle, IL from 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2005. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 12th at St. Anthony Cemetery, Beckemeyer, IL. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels with envelopes available at the funeral home.
