Jerry D. Maus, 65, passed away at his residence on Tuesday December 28, 2004. He was born in Robinson, Illinois on August 29, 1939 and was the son of Donald Ralph Maus and Ruby C. (Wilkin) Maus. On November 5, 1961, he married Sarah Dunlap, who survives. Jerry, was co owner of Maus Well Service in Oblong, and had been a pumper for twenty years with McDonald Oil Company. Jerry was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Oblong and a member of the Wabash Valley Coon Club. His hobbies included mushroom hunting, fishing, ginseng hunting, coon hunting, training dogs, yard work and his garden. He loved his dogs and grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by his wife Sarah; four sons and daughters-in-laws Kevin & Cindy Maus, Brian & Amy Maus, Mike & Amber Maus and Dusty Maus; six grandchildren Lacey, Kody, Ashley, Kelsey, Dawson and Skylar Maus; brother and sister-in-law Terry & Vickie Maus; sister and brother-in-law Linda & Harold Price, along with several nieces and nephews.

His parents precede him in death.

Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery, rural Oblong.
