Florence V. Martin, 96, Mt. Vernon, IL and formerly of Robinson, passed away at 4:15 a.m. Sunday March 4, 2007, at her residence in Mt. Vernon, IL. Born in Cherry Valley, Arkansas on February 24,1911, she was the daughter of Hiriam Theodore Dennis and Louella (Best) Dennis. She was a homemaker. She spent her time enjoying her home, family and especially her grandchildren.
In 1934, she married Delbert L. "John" Martin, who preceded her in death on May 10, 1977. Also preceding her in death were her parents and 12 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one son, Delbert H. Martin; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth & Richard Chronic, LaVeda Nell Hale and Rhoda & Steve Watts; 8 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Beulah Dennis and Jo Dennis; several nieces and nephews; care givers: Rona Lowry & Charlotte Beal.
Burial is in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, IL.
