Betty Lou (Helm) Lomeo, 66, passed away at 3:37 p.m. EST Friday, January 11, 2008, at Regional Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana. Born in Oak Park, Illinois on April 14, 1942, she was the daughter of Clifton C. Helm and Alberta M. (Dowden) Helm.

Betty was a homemaker. She was a member of the Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church, Oblong. Betty was lovingly known as the "Bible Lady" - a great lover of all children. She was always seen with an entourage of children at her knee sharing Jesus' love, as well as hers. Betty stated before she died "I leave this world with no earthly riches, but only my dearest trophies: my precious daughters, grandchildren and testimony of Christ".

On November 10, 1960, she married John V. Lomeo, who survives. Betty is the proud and beloved mother of Colleen (Lomeo) Zulueta, Rebecca Lomeo and Jo (Lomeo) Allen; the deeply loved grandmother of treasures, Andrue & Fallon Zulueta and Ryann Elizabeth Allen; she will be deeply missed by her two sisters: Beverly & Dan Dickson, Candice & Carl Santini; one brother, Charles & Carol Yiesley; aunt Eloise Helm and uncle John Helm; specially endearing aunt of 40 nieces and nephews; specially loved friends are Cathy Holley, John Blade and dear Dr. Pradip D. Patel.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Lorene Pederson & Linda Villafuerte.
