Eugene Lockhart, 82, passed away Saturday August 6, 2005 at his residence. Eugene was born on April 7, 1923 in Crawford County, Illinois and was the son of Charlie & Lola (Shook) Lockhart. On January 4, 1947 Eugene married Virginia Irene (Osborn) and she survives. Eugene served in the U. S. Army during W. W. II. He was a life long farmer and he retired from Local #157 Plumbers and Steamfitters in 1985. Eugene was a member of the Bellair Church of Christ.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Virginia, three sons and daughter-in-law, Gale & Betty Lockhart, Timothy E. Lockhart and Neil E. Lockhart, three daughters and sons-in-law, Louise & Dick Pritts, Lila & Danny Jackson and Joni Lockhart & fiance David Palmer, seven grandchildren and eight granchildren, one sister and brother-in-law, Helen & Hubert Chesser and one sister-in-law, Janus Lockhart.
Preceding Eugene was his parents, two brothers, Lyle & Floyd Lockhart and one sister, Olive.
Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery, rural Bellair, Illinois.
