Michael J. "Mike" Kirts, 52, Oblong, IL passed away Saturday morning January 12, 2008, Decatur, Illinois in his sleep. He was born on May 26, 1955, in Olney, Illinois. He was the son of Henry F. Kirts and Vera M. (Jenkins) Kirts. Mike had worked at Keller Printing and D. R. Smith Furniture in Robinson. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Oblong; and Central Wabash Chapter of Illinois Association for Advancement of Archaeology. Mike was a graduate of Oblong High School Class of 1973. He was interested in prehistoric Indian Artifacts and working with stained glass.
Mike is survived by his parents, Henry & Vera Kirts; one brother and sister-in-law, Mark W. & Tamara Kirts; one sister, Ann M. Kirts; niece, Amy Daughtry; and two nephews, Matthew and Joshua Kirts. He is preceded in death by one sister, Amy J. Kirts.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Sainte Marie, Illinois.
