Paul Clarene Jones, 87, Robinson, IL died at 1:03 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2003 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital, Lawrenceville, IL. He was born March 15, 1916 in Oblong, IL the son of Bert Jones and Bertha Ridlen Jones.
He was a pumper for the Getty Oil Company. He was a member of the Robinson V.F.W. Post #4549 and the New Hope Baptist Church.
He married Bertha Weger Welch on November 22, 1994 and she survives. He is also survived by his brother, Byrl Jones, Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Ronald P. Jones. He married Charlene Coulter on June 28, 1947 and she preceded him in death on April 15, 1992.
Funeral serviced will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson, IL. Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, IL. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5 from 1-2 p.m. preceding the service. Memorials may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church with envelopes available at the Funeral Home.
