Juanita E. "Wendy" Hulen, 85, passed away about 9:43 a.m. Thurday, September 14, 2006 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born in Oilfield, Illinois on June 8, 1921 and was the daughter of Claude James and Ruth (Sharp) Lansbery. May 1939, she married Monroe Smothers and he preceded her in death June, 1947, she married Clell W. "Ted" Goff, 1948 and October 24, 1965 she married Glenn L. Hulen and he survives. Juanita was a hairstylist at Jules in downtown Vincennes, Indiana; she operated Schick's Beauty Shop and the Executive Inn Beauty Salon in Vincennes, Indiana. She was a former member of the St. John's United Church of Christ, Vincennes, Indiana and became a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Oblong, IL. She was a member of the Illinois and Indiana Hairdresser's Association. She loved to read and watch her "soaps".

Juanita is survived by her husband, Glenn; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark & Ann Goff; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon & Charles Salesman and Diana & David Aten; one step daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl & John Buss; daughter-in-law, Betty Smothers; son-in-law, Victor McCoy; 12 grandchildren & 3 step grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 11 step great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leland "Pete" & Wanda Lansbery and Ray & Virginia Lansbery; one sister, Hazel York; one brother-in-law, Otis & Patty Potter; two sisters-in-law, Rose Laws and Mary Moore; several nieces and nephews.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Monroe Smothers; one son, David Smothers; one son-in-law, Roger Henry; one brother, Max Lansbery and one sister, Wanda Potter.

Burial is in Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, IL.
