Harold Joseph Heck 82 Oblong died Saturday May 26, 2001 at his residence. He was born March 6, 1919 in Oblong, IL. Harold was the son of Charles O. Heck and Louella Roberts. On July 18, 1953 he married Reva G. Dunlap, she survives. Harold was a carpenter and oilfield worker for McDonald Oil Company. He was a WW II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran serving in England, France and Germany. His hobbies included motorcycles, woodworking, flying and gardening. Harold loved and cares for his family.

Harold is survived by his wife Reba G. Heck; 1 son Carl Heck; 3 daughters & sons-in-laws Carolyn & Tab Songer, Sharon & Gary Dart and Jeanette & Greg Redman; 8 Grandchildren 4 Grandsons Joseph A. Dart, Sean, Brandon & Cody Redman; 4 Granddaughters Ashley, Amy, Tabitha and Hannah Songer; 1 brother and sister-in-law Ray & Leah Heck; Twin sisters Mary Green & Martha Petty; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his parents, 1 brother Cecil Heck; 1 sister Escoe Hatton and by an infant brother & sister.

Graveside Military Rites will be conducted by Oblong American Legion Post #219. Burial in Oblong Cemetery.
