Glenden Hardig, 94, Evansville, Indiana and formerly of The Bend, rural Jasper County, Illinois passed away at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2008, at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, Indiana. Born in Reed, Kentucky on June 27, 1913, he was the son of Thomas Louis Hardig and Gladys Woods. Glenden served with the U.S. Air Force during WW II. He was a machinist with Servel Inc. - Evansville, Indiana; in 1978 he retired from Thousand Oaks School District Union in Thousand Oaks, California. He was a member of the Terrace Parke Baptist Church, Evansville, Indiana. Glenden was a 50 year Masonic member; life member of the V.F.W. - Simi Valley, California; member Daylite Masonic Lodge #752 AF & AM, Evansville, IN; Tri County Legion of Honor Shrine Club - Al Halaikah Temple A.A.O.N.N.S. High 12 Club of Hadi Temple Shrine; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite - Valley of Evansville, IN; Evansville Consistory.

On January 15, 1975, he married Dorothea Von Udder, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Leo, Carl & Dallas; and one sister, Fay Bull. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in the Bend Cemetery, Rural Jasper County, Illinois.
