L. D. Mefford and wife left for Georgetown, KY., Saturday in response to a telegram announcing the death of Mrs. Mefford's oldest brother, W. T. Griffith, who succumbed to heart trouble. Deceased was also a brother of Dr. F. J. C. Griffith of Annapolis. He was a bachelor and possessed considerable property, in which Mrs. Mefford and Dr. Griffith will share as heirs.
