Rosalie French, 70, Willow Hill, Illinois passed away at 1:55 a.m. Thursday July 5, 2007, at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois. Born on June 11, 1937, in Jasper County, she was the daughter of Robert Gillaspie and Gladys (McCoy) Gillaspie. She was a graduate of Oblong High School Class of 1955. Rosalie worked for Crawford Electronics, E. R. Moore in Newton and Jake's Smorgasbord. She was a member of Mound Church. Her interest included reading the Bible, watching westerns, listening to gospel music, traveling and spending time with her family.

On December 3, 1960, she married William Edward French, who preceded her in death on January 10, 1992. Also preceding her in death were her parents; and two brothers, Larry Joe - 1946 and Howard - 2006.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Jim French and Jeff & Brenda French; one daughter and son-in-law, Jodi & Terry Krick; seven grandchildren, Justin, Megan and Taylor Krick, Eric & Lisa French and Tyler & Devin French; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha & Tim Holt and Susan & Mel Allison; a close friend, Don Colwell; and several nieces & nephews.

Burial is in Mound Cemetery, rural Jasper County, Illinois.
