Charles F. "Charlie" Dorn, 56, of Robinson, IL, died at 5:54 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at his home. He was born, September 3, 1950 in Newton, IL, the son of Victor and Marie (Smith) Dorn.
He served in the Army during Vietnam. He was a member of the Robinson American Legion Post #69.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Hille Dorn, of Robinson, whom he married on September 14, 1996. He is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Mark Massey, of Newton, IL; a son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Mary Jo Dorn, of Newton, IL; 3 step-daughters, Sandy Hille, of St. Louis, MO; Sally and Mark Lyford, of New Hampton, NH; Sherry and Lewis Phillips, of Effingham, IL; 3 grandchildren, Caitlin, Sydney, and Anissa Massey; 6 step grandchildren, Jake, Jed, and Joe Phillips; Kyle, Melissa, and Ryan Lyford. Also surviving are four brothers,Victor Leon and Ann Dorn, Donnie and Cheri Dorn, Ed and Donna Dorn, and Larry and Debbie Dorn; two sisters, Vera and Roland Hockey, Bobbie and Jeff Falconer; a step mother, Delories Dorn several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Victor Dorn, and mother, Marie Dorn.
Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson, IL. Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home.
